The Sun…

I love  the sunrise and the sunset… Simply because the sky explodes with colors, shadows get very long, and the light is often soft and beautiful.

All prints are the John S Lens and the Blanko Noir Film.

The day before the winter came…

Yesterday it was snowing almost 4 inches in only five hours. And then it started to rain…

On saturday, and the morning sunday, the sun was shining bright from a clear sky. The last print is actually shot only 1,5 hours before it started to snow. In Norway, we are used to the ever shifting weather. But sometimes it really takes you by surprise.

The prints are a mix of BlacKeys B+W (#1), Blanko Noir Film (#2, 5-7) and the AO DLX (#3-4) Film. The latter my favorite black and white at the moment. All are with the John S Lens.

BTW, this is published the 10th of October, at 10'o clock… To bad its not 2010… Because as I mentioned yesterday, in Norway we write the date like this: 10/10/11 (DD-MM-YY).

Falling leaves and butterflies…

Yesterday we had a dramatic change in weather conditions here… From a sunny 82℉ saturday, it was a foggy 48℉ sunday.

Sunday was my resting day, since I had been biking for 27 miles the two days before.

The leaves are really dropping from the trees now, in an increasing speed. Where I am now, there will probably be snow in the next two or three weeks. And then we look forward to 6-7 months of winter in Norway… Yey… I don't mind the cold or the snow at all, but I hate the slush in-betweens. Everything is wet, cold and dark…

All prints are the John S Lens and the Blanko Noir Film. This to celebrate the colors of the autumn, and the butterfly I chased for ten minutes on saturday. The butterfly probably froze to death later that night…

Autumn is present…

Autumn are again announcing its presence. This is felt in both temperature, wind and weather conditions in general. Autumn is for me one of the most beautiful seasons. The light from the sun is a little colder, and the days a little shorter. And of course, the colors are beautiful, the air is crisp and clear…

Here are some prints from the autumn in play.

All prints are the John S Lens, but to bring out some color, I have used the Blanko Noir Film. The two last prints are the Blanko Noir Film, but Jason King tipped me about combining the John S Lens,  The BlacKeys Film and the Jolly Flash. The last print I used the Jolly Rainbo 2x. And what a result! It reminds me of the saturation of the Velvia slide film. Beautiful!

It gets a little dark in the shadows, so you need good light conditions to have some detail in the print. For this print, it worked perfect. Thank you mister King! I used the Blanko Noir this time, but I will do some prints with the BlacKeys as well.

The rest of the prints are my ever faithful BlacKeys B+W Film.
